Hi, everyone, My son has a Talbot 1600 ti and we are trying to source a set of 1.7 roller rockers for this engine. Wondered if anyone knows where we might look. Many thanks, Keith

Following on from my last post I have located a set of rockers in America. They say that these are suitable for 1390, 1494, 1592, and 1725 engines. As the Talbot is 1598 can anyone tell me if the heads of these engines differ in any way? Thanks.

I think the valve spacing is different, but maybe they allow for this. Id message them to see.

The engine capacities that they say it works with are all the 'old' Rootes OHV 4 cylinder, introduced in 1955 and last used in the Hillman Hunter. The Talbot has one of the 'new' 4 cylinders introduced in 1970 with the Avenger. My understanding is that this was a completely new design, so there is some question over whether the rockers will fit. Not saying they won't, but I would be surprised if they do.
