Hi
At last i have found a Hillman Forum, i have 1963 Hillman Superminx, later series 2. She is in great condition no rust, paint has faded but nothing a good wash and wax
Currently lowerd 2" all round, Im making my own mark on her, eventually i put a bigger engine, currently have a pinto lying in my garage.
Im 22, mechanic and love my classic cars. got married in november.
need to ask a few questions: what wheels will fit my car? early ford (anglia, mk2, mk1) what tuning possibilty on my 1600.
Liam

Sounds interesting - how about posting some pics on the 'Let's get started' thread. Most Ford 4 stud wheels should fit your car. What springs have you used on the front - or have you cut down the originals?

looks a good honest car in the pics !! im lowering mine at the moment, just need to save some pennies to get the front springs, thought about taking the cut spring route but figured some made to measure ones would be better in the long run as the car was doing a lot of miles before her MOT expiry.. got quoted 110+the vat for same rated springs but with the drop from a company up north somewhere (will have to find the link)

Hello, what a lovely car! I've had to put my one on eBay due to lack of funds, totally gutted.

looking at trying to find some wheels for her, something a bit wider and a bit bigger, maybe some wellers, something with a dish. i couldnt find a company to make springs, so i cut my one coil at a time, at worked pretty well.

might be passing your way in a few weeks... we could meet up, they owe me 60 quid though im afraid, ill get some pics tomorrow.. the chrome is a bit dull as they was on a car that sat for years in a car park round the back of our local chinky till someone finally had it away (with permission) he then bangered it (made me sad as I had offered him good cash for it) and I ended up with the wheels, I was going to just sand them back and paint them, as such one has been DA'd a bit but not severly..
