Hi all I've a 1975 Avenger 1300 Super she is in good condition and I'm currently looking for the right man to damp proof her. Square headlights, round clocks. s1098.photobucket.com/albums/g379/Paddy075/I like the Rootes Group cars, they seem to be the best for the time.

I am a proud owner of an Avenger Tiger 1 (x2), Hillman Imp(998), Singer Chamois, Clan Crusader and a Talbot Samba GLS. 1 Tiger, Imp (998) & the Samba are on the road, the others need some work done to them.

Hi Davenger
Thanks for that, his name is 'Spike' cos he is in the original Commer colour of 'Cactus Green'. I know one other Cob MKI survives in the UK and one in Norway, I know of two others in the UK but both these run non-standard spec and higher powered engines, so these old vans are like rocking Horse Doo-Darr. I am compiling a Register of all Commer Cob's if anyone can help, this consists of the MKI, Series I, Series II and Series III.
Any information would be greatly appreciated and strictly confidential, my lists will not be published on the Internet in full.
Please email me on .... cut7jag@sky.com
Or ring me on .... 07977-572585
Thanks Gary

Humber Sceptre Mk2 1966

This is my 1966 Humber Sceptre MK2. I have owned it for just over a year. I bought it, as I had one at University when I was 19 years old. I recently found my old Sceptre had been scrapped, even though I still own the V5 (It's a long story) For my new Sceptre I've added a few exterior extras, and last summer had the white walls done by Les (an 84 year old in Portsmouth, UK). Also fitted inertia seat belts, rear windscreen heater (from Australia). Although a good runner, the original engine (64,000 miles) needs the thrust bearing replaced and the pistons re-bored. So this summer I will be fitting a Holbay H120 engine with Twin Weber 40 DC0E with a specialist quad manifold down pipe by Vortex.
