Hi ALL
I have a 1967 Singer Vogue estate, one of the very last before they moved onto the Hunter shape. I re-built the engine couple of years ago, as the block is high compression, I installed + 1mm flat top pistons.
I found the original solex carb uneconomical so experimented with twin strombergs CD150 but eventually settled for a single, twin choke webber, although I did prefer the Strombergs. Currently the car is running fine, however last year I acquired a Holbay head, very original and unmolested, designed to run on twin side draft DCOE carbs?
The question is would there be any significant benefit in changing over to the Holbay head? If so I’m assuming I would need twin side draft DCOE carbs and manifold?
I’m new to this forum so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Gary
