hey guys just bought my first hillman hunter. as far as i know its been sitting in a shed for 24 years, untouched. the car itself is in decent condition but its got abit of rust behind the front wheels/ front of the sills. and behind the rear wheels. i dragged it out of the shed with a tractor and then got to trying to get it going. first of all i blew the fuel lines out and cleaned the fuel pump. then bought a new battery. and the old girl started up straight away. runs and drives like a dream. now. the plan is to restore it back to original looks but to put a pretty seriously worked motor in it. does anybody know of anywhere to find performance parts for the engine?? it's a hc hillman hunter with a 1725cc engine. single side draft stromberg cd150. factory auto but is fitted with a 3 speed manual. if anybody can help me with any info about it i would greatly appreciate it as ive got no clue about anything about them. its got no vin plate or anything so im unsure of how to find out what year it is. if anybody can help me with that too, it would be a great help. Also, is there any kind of limited slip differential (lsd) that either came in a hunter or is another brand that fits. just after any info anyone can tell me about them. as i am new to the hunter thing. thanks Joel..
