Have just spoken to the ex owner of all the above. The Hearse in the first picture was sold in running condition to a chap in London. He has since died but the Hearse was at that time re MOT'd and used for his funeral - what happened to it after that is not known. 2 of the other three cars went to an enthusiast in the Manchester area and it is believed that he still has them. 1 of the Hearses went to someone who belonged to the 'Classic Hearse Register' The 'no longer used on any car' in the above post I guess is from the DVLA vehicle check website - doesn't mean the cars have been scrapped or banger raced, just that the old log books have never been replaced by a V5 and therefore the cars are not on the DVLA computer system - hopefully the cars are still languishing somewhere either being restored or awaiting restoration.

It would be great to think they are still out there I checked dvla and autotrader site in case they had been "plate rape" victims.

I am the person who was the last UK owner. 3 years after bringing it back to NZ, I sold it on to a semi retired classic car collector, so I trust it's still in safe hands. Subsequently, I still have one of the rego plates off it. ANy enquiries, contact antonyhoch@hotmail.com.
