engine rotating clockwise

hi i have been told that there are various rootes engines that rotate clockwise apposed to the normal anti-clockwise rotation of most standard everyday engines... please could someone clear this for me and maybe explain a bit more.

Think you may be getting confused between rotional direction of the engine as opposed to the rotational direction of the distributor.
