Hi All, I am currently working on a Series II Singer Vogue (Humber Vogue here in Australia) I am trying to change the quarter light and window rubbers. The manual (attached) says and I quote "free the regulator operating arm from its location in the glass channel (camplate)" Can anyone tell me what that means? Its seems to me the cam that is in the channel needs to come out of the channel, but how is that done? The only way I can see to do that is to severely bend the cannel to allow the cam to pop out ? is that correct ? M'thanks OzJohn Attachments:

Hi Ozjohn, Remove door trim, undo 4 screws on winder ( regulator),push winder into door, slide out of doorglass channel. drop door glass to bottom of door, remove lower screws from d/glassfront channel, and screws holding 1/4 lite frame to top of door, care fully pull 1/4 lite backwards and romove complete assembly up and out of door. undo nut on bottom of 1/4 lite andpull down onto spring, frame will come offtop hinge thingy. Fit new rubber into frame (useing a bluntened screwdriver and lots of lubricant,i.e. dishwash liquid.) reverse procedure for reassembly.I trust this helps. Des( Windscreen Man.GC ) PM Me for PH no if you require more advice. Where in OZ ARE YOU???

Many Thanks Des, I will try that next opportunity. Away this weekend. I had sort of come to the conclusion that the winder had to be released first, which you have confirmed.
I see you on Gold Coast. I am on Mt Tamborine. I'll send you my details.
