Lots of Rootes content on Australian TV last night in the documentary "The Prime Minister is Missing". It was about Australian prime minister Harold Holt who went to the beach for a swim and disappeared, presumed drowned, in the 1960s. Plenty of old footage featuring Humbers, Commers and Karriers as well as modern reenactments which featured a Super Snipe and a couple of Vogues.

G'day Russ,
The Super Snipe and the two Vogues all belong to Rod Calvert of Canberra, and the SS is featured in the 2009 Cars of the Rootes Group Calendar which I have just advertsied elsewhere on this forum. One of the Vogues he has owned since new, theother is an unusual column shift manual model. Rod would really like Sceptre too but his SWMBO says that would be too many cars..
Cheers, Vic
