Bit of a technical question, Anyone with a hunter or rapier fastback know of or have done a rack and pinion conversion? I have a slight clearance issue in my fastback due to a tiny engine upgrade ;D any help appreciated Larry

I'm having similar issues with this:-- I'm actually using a (classic) Mini steering rack with tie rods modified to take the original Sceptre joints. There is just room for a home made steering column but the big issue is what to hang the rack on - some form of extra bracketry being necessary - oh and the V8 sump will also need to be modified

Yeah also had to modify sump. Also did some bracing between front and rear chassis rails and need to have an ARB made to go around front of sump. What other mods have you done, gearbox brakes etc? Do you have a build thread anywhere?

Yeah, that's the problem with parts for Tigers, they command a "premium". ;D
