On Sunday 9th August the Mid Suffolk light Railway are holding a Rootes Car Day. Anyone interested in coming along with their Humber, Hillman, Sunbeam, Commer etc etc please let me know. It is also their Hornby Model Railway day and if we're lucky they might have their famous beer carriage open, so you can sample some fine local ale. More information about the Mid Suffolk is on the link before (might have to copy & paste) www.mslr.org.uk/

Sorry for not replying earlier. Been rather taken up with Scout stuff recently. Pandamonium, you'd be more than welcome. Right, the plan is to arrive between 10am and 11am and to park on the station forecourt. Enter for the driver and passenger is free, but sadly all others will have to pay.
There will be a display of model railway stuff by the local Hornby Railway group and the most importantly the beer carriage will be open serving local beers. (Tea room is also open serving tea & coffee).
If you would like more details or to let me know that you are coming, please email fiona.dyes@ntlworld.com More info about the Mid Suffolk Railway is on www.mslr.ogr.uk

I'm gonna have to park elsewhere. My Avenger is still in bits and the KA doesn't count

No, so apart from not seeing me and Mike, you didn't miss that much. (Ah and some rather beer on sale in the beer carriage, which was very nice)

I live round the corner from the dove and a ten minute walk from the fat cat, so good beer isn't a problem ;D
